Connect has been shortlisted in the ‘Website’ category at the 2016 Prolific North Awards for our work with the UK Space Agency on the official Principia Mission campaign website.
The Principia Mission campaign website provides a platform for the UK Space Agency to showcase leading British astronaut, Tim Peake’s Principia Mission and other cutting-edge space activities co-ordinated from the UK. With the space industry providing the technology and infrastructure for services such as weather forecasting, navigation, global communications and broadcasting, space technology has become an essential part of everyday life and can provide the tools to manage complex global challenges. The website plays a pivotal role in communicating these processes to the public.
We delivered an innovative and unique website to the UK Space Agency in a short time period with tight deadlines in place. Built around one of the most popular content management systems, WordPress, the UK Space Agency continue to amend aspects of the site and add content as they please.
Connect’s joint Managing Director, Carole Boardman said: “We are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted in the ‘Website’ category at the 2016 Prolific North Awards. This is a very exciting time for Connect and the UK Space Agency, and we are pleased that the technical and functional excellence of the Principia Mission campaign website has been recognised and we await the ceremony with excitement and anticipation.”
