A positive month of sales across the Digital Marketplace in September has seen total business tendered through the platform reach £800 million.
“With transactions of over £53 million made on the Digital Marketplace in September, following three prosperous months in the summer, public sector spending through G-Cloud has been buoyant in 2015.
With £806m spent by the public sector since the launch of the Crown Commercial Service’s (CSS) G-Cloud framework in April 2012, and take-up increasing all the time, it is predicted that business tendered through the portal could reach £1 billion within the next financial year.
With the launch of the G-Cloud 7 procurement framework earlier this week, and the new Digital Outcomes and Specialists framework expected to be launched by February 2016, the tendering process for users and suppliers is now undergoing regular positive development.”
